26.10.2010 Danish Embassy visits Software Center
During the Danish-Vietnamese ICT Club's trip, a club delegation also visited the swiss IT bridge (SIB) Software Center in Vietnam. Marcom Manager Christoph Kruppa presented the agile cooperation concept that SIB uses with its customers to the representatives from the Embassy, Danish Investors and Vietnamese companies. 01.10.2010 swiss IT bridge grows more slowly
swiss IT bridge could increase the revenue compared to the same period in 2008 (125%) by 11.5%. The revenue grew more slowly as expected as we were focusing on the extension and incorporation of the management team in the first half of the year. By adding two additional persons to the marketing team, Isa Dora de Maddalena and Martin Bauer, we are expecting the second half of this year to have a stronger growth.

07.09.2010 Netzguide introduces SIB-Offshoring
On July 1st Netzguide distributed by Netzwoche was published with the topic "ICT-Infrastructure and -Management 2010". In an article (German) included in the special "Offshoring Vietnam" the bridge head concept of swiss IT bridge is explained among others. In an additional interview (German) both partners of swiss IT bridge demonstrate the advantages of Vietnam and this concept. The Netzguide is available via Netzwoche (German).

26.08.2010 Lean Agile Scrum Conference in Zürich
On 07.09.2010 the Lean Agile Scrum Conference 'From Scrum Project to an agile company' takes place at the ETH Zürich and offers Keynotes by the famous speakers Henrik Kniberg and Mary Poppendieck. The conference will start at 08.30 with the free Scrum-Breakfast. In the following part with costs experts will discuss Best Practises in agile development methods. 05.08.2010 A better future for Vietnamese street children
Thanks to our satisfied customers, swiss IT bridge could contribute again part of its yearly earnings to Duc Duc. Our funds this year help, that 109 children are visiting school; which are 33 more than last year. This year 70 students were awarded scholarships. 05.07.2010 First customer with carbon-neutral software development
For the development of a software assisting the energy-optimization of it's computers an international insurance corporation relies on the carbon neutral software development of swiss IT bridge. With a surcharge of CHF 0.25 the customer participates in the compensation of the CO2 emission, which is produced by the yearly power consumption in the Software Center. With this approach the enterprise completes it's Green IT strategy.

18.06.2010 swiss IT bridge strengthens Management
To deal with the strong and rapid growth, swiss IT bridge (SIB) has reinforced the Management of the Software Center with its own employees. Duong Luu from Basel, a Swiss with Vietnamese roots will take over the newly created position of the Chief Operating Officer (COO). The German Nhan Vu, also with Vietnamese roots, will support him as the new Process Manager. Christoph Kruppa, also from Germany, is the newly appointed Marcom Manager. Linh Ho from Valais with Vietnamese roots, takes over the new position as our Administration Manager.

31.05.2010 Open Day in Software Center
This year swiss IT bridge celebrated its 4th anniversary. Therefore we organized an Open Day at our Software Center in Quang Trung Software City in Ho Chi Minh City on the 22nd of May, 2010 just for the occasion. On this day a total of 57 visitors enjoyed a buffet of both Swiss and Vietnamese delicacies and could win attractive prizes at a lucky draw. Additionally our software engineers were available to introduce in conversations their many projects. 28.04.2010 Developer team for international Swiss corporate group
Two years have passed since swiss IT bridge (SIB) sold its first dedicated team of three developers to Business Wide Web. Now SIB has signed a contract with an international enterprise listed on the Stock Exchange. swiss IT bridge is offering a basic one year contract with 2 dedicated developers to a Swiss medical enterprise. The team from SIB will take over tasks from the internal IT department in the technology SharePoint to help the client focus on its core activities.

26.03.2010 73 Visitors in the Software Center in Vietnam
In March the Software Center in Vietnam deals with a big rush. Besides our existing customers we have welcomed also potential customers from various Swiss companies. Since the foundation of swiss IT bridge in March 2006 we have documented 73 visitors here. Among these 14 current representatives of our customers have visited us to assist in upcoming changes to the development process and enrich our partnership. Three of six potential customers have started contracts since their visit. For the remaining 3 customers we are their preferred supplier. 08.02.2010 Goodbye buffalo, welcome tiger
On Tet Vietnam celebrates New Year. This most important holiday is based on the Chinese lunar calendar. Preparations have
already started months before the actual celebration: Vietnamese clear their debts and buy inventories and clothes. On New Year’s Eve, everybody clean and decorate their houses. Therefore, it is strictly forbidden to clean on New Year’s Day as it is believed that Vietnamese would sweep the luck out of their house. On the 14th of February 2010 the year of the buffalo (Trâu) ends and the year of the tiger (Ho) begins.

25.01.2010 swiss IT bridge doubles revenue
After swiss IT bridge’s revenue increased in the first half of 2009 by 125%, it fell in the second half back to 98%. The most important factor thereby was the termination of the contract with SIB’s largest customer as a consequence of bankruptcy of one of its clients. Due to the acquisition of first clients in Austria and Spain, the loss in revenue was partially offset, and therefore, we were able to achieve a record result in profit. Pursuant to our attractive cost-performance ratio as well as according to the information provided by Swiss Software Industry Index (SSI) we are expecting an increase in revenue by 50% in 2010.

23.11.2009 First customer in Spain
Avalon Biometrics is the first swiss IT bridge customer outside of German speaking countries. The Spanish biometry specialist is developing a mobile solution for needy children in India with support from swiss IT bridge developers. Avalon decided on long-term collaboration with swiss IT bridge primarily because they can manage the team of three themselves, but also due to the attractive cost/performance ratio. 16.11.2009 First Austrian customer won over Internet within 10 days
With its first customer in Austria, swiss IT bridge is now active in Switzerland, Germany and Austria. Within only 10 days the contract was concluded via the Internet. The company in the aviatic industry gets a dedicated team from swiss IT bridge with three developers in the ASP.NET, C/C++ and C# technologies for migrating its software for a web application with Google Maps API from Windows to Linux. 03.11.2009 swiss IT bridge sales increase 125%
With strengthened marketing in Switzerland and Germany as well as new customers, swiss IT bridge was able to increase sales in the first half year by 125% compared to last year. Increasing sales resources and also the balanced project and resource business model as well as increased efforts in online marketing (new webpage, CMS, search engine optimization, online-PR) contributed to this success in the whole German-speaking area

01.07.2009 swiss IT bridge sells a team of 7 developers
A leading manufacturer of e-publishing contracted SIB in the long term for the further development of its application. Based on a one-year-contract we provide a team of seven developers exclusively to the customer. Already during the training with the customer’s project manager in our Software Center in Vietnam the developers were able to implement all requirements for the automated management of advertising and printing even faster and cheaper as hitherto expected.

29.05.2009 swiss IT bridge now offers carbon neutral software
Since  May 2009 we offer our customers carbon neutral software development. Already when procuring and expanding our IT infrastructure as well as running our office we pay special attention to sustainability. Now the total amount of carbon dioxide emissions caused by our software center's energy consumption in Vietnam is compensated by climate protection projects at myclimate.org and paying into the fund. 19.05.2009 Orbit 09: 2 winner and an overall new concept for 2010
Congratulations to the two winners of our raffle: Livia Hauser wins a project of 60 and Lukas Maag a project of 40 programming hours. Orbit 09 was a big success for SIB: Due to an active presence of our orbit crew as well as the support of our four clients we were able to inform 90 visitors about the advantages of a partnership with SIB, although Orbit was not visited as well as the years before. Furthermore, Fredi Schmidli and our customer www.hocoma.ch could demonstrate in their presentation, how Offshoring is reducing costs in reality. 06.05.2009 Customers answer your questions at the Orbit
Our customers will be available to answer your questions from May 12 to 15 during the Orbit at the Zurich Exhibition Center in Hall 4, Stand 4/C40. 04.03.2009 Sales Team Switzerland strengthened
In challenging times, forward strategies are decisive for success. Thanks to customers with this mindset, swiss IT bridge tripled the number of Software Engineers working exclusively for clients from 3 to 9 in the last three months. Additionally our sales team Switzerland is now supported by Ulrich Weibel, a professional who increased his former employer’s turnover from CHF 4 Mio. to CHF 100 Mio per year. With his experience our price/service leadership can generate even more turnover. This moves our customers as well as swiss IT bridge into the pole position.

17.12.2008 Taking pole position in 2009 with swiss IT bridge
What do a software house, an IT consultant and a pharmaceutical service provider have in common? These three enterprises intend to master the financial crisis and have thus decided on a long-term collaboration with swiss IT bridge. This collaboration includes among others five dedicated team members in Vietnam. Our three customers will thus be able to develop their products and projects more efficiently and with less risk. At the same time, Swiss quality is delivered, fixed costs and total costs are reduced; this enables a competitive advantage in the battle for the 2009 pole position.

15.08.2008 Swiss President learns about swiss IT bridge
During his Vietnam trip for expanding economic relationships, the President of the Swiss Confederation Pascal Couchepin also visited the Swiss Business Association in Ho Chi Minh City. Thomas Himmelrich, the CEO of swiss IT bridge, used the opportunity to introduce the President to its services in the area of software development which among others are carried out by graduates from Swiss and German universities.

06.05.2008 Customers visit us in Vietnam
Over the past few weeks our software center in Saigon has been receiving visitors from Switzerland. The first was a customer who started their new web-based project with a two day training. Then a project leader responsible for the further development of a web-based ERP held a one week training program. Next, one customer, for whom we have been working since several months concerning a project for a major Swiss bank, passed by during his holiday in Vietnam.

August 2007 Federal Council Leuthard wishes swiss IT bridge all the best
During her official visit the federal council Doris Leuthard attended also the Swiss Business Association in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. During a reception with dinner, Thomas Himmelrich and Fredi Schmidli presented swiss IT bridge and its services in the field of software development for the swiss market. Doris Leuthard and the Swiss ambassador Jean-Hubert Lebet both appreciated the swiss entrepreneurs’ initiative and wished swiss IT bridge continued success.
